Chrome diopside is a new gemstone, having been discovered in Eastern Siberia in 1988. This rare color of diopside is beloved for its vibrant forest green coloring, rivaling that of tsavorite and emerald at a much more modest price. We took a fine 1.10ct round chrome diopside and set it in a simple white gold ring with a bright white diamond halo for pleasing contrast. Created in 14 karat white gold with 0.54ct total weight diamond.
